This page explains what information Oxtonbridge collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: we collect what's needed to prepare and deliver a report, process any payment you choose to make, respond to you, and keep basic business records. That's the extent of it.

What we collect

If you contact us directly, we collect what you send us: typically your name, email address, business name, and anything else you choose to share.

Before we reach out to a business, we look at information that's already publicly available: a business's website, its Google Business Profile, public reviews, and public contact details. We use this to prepare the free snapshot or paid audit we offer.

If we email a business first, we may keep a short outreach record (business name, contact details, the date we reached out, and whether you'd like us to stop contacting you). This exists so we can honor opt-outs and avoid contacting the same business twice.

If you buy a paid service, we collect the billing information needed to process that payment. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored on our own systems.

If you give us Manager access to your Google Business Profile for a monthly plan, we can see what any manager sees, including Google's performance figures for your profile.

When you visit this site, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and gives us general information such as the country, device type and referring website. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't track you across other sites or build a profile of you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We don't use anything we collect to make automated decisions about you, and we don't build advertising profiles.

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests to research and contact businesses, on our contract with you to deliver paid work, and on legal obligations to keep accounting and tax records.

Access to your Business Profile

We use access only to deliver your plan. You can remove us at any time, and we remove ourselves as a manager when your plan ends.

Outreach and opt-out

If you receive an email from us and would rather not hear from us again, just reply and say so. "No thanks" is enough. We'll keep a short record of that request so we can honor it going forward, and we won't contact you again about this or any similar offer.

Services we use

We don't sell information about you or your business. We use a small number of service providers to run Oxtonbridge: Zoho (email), Cloudflare (website hosting, security and cookie-free visitor statistics), Web3Forms (our contact form) and Stripe (payments). They process information on our behalf only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep outreach, communication and billing records for as long as reasonably useful for our own business and legal purposes, and no longer than necessary for that purpose. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we have a legitimate reason to keep a limited record, such as honoring an opt-out request or meeting a legal or tax obligation.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you, as above. To do any of this, just email hello@oxtonbridge.com.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Oxtonbridge is a business-to-business service. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

We take reasonable steps to keep the information we hold secure. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so we aim to collect only what we actually need in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes, like adding a new service provider, will be reflected here before they take effect.
